Bosch Building Technologies Integrator Business

The regional system integration business called Bosch Building Technologies offers solutions and customized services for building security, energy efficiency, and building automation for commercial buildings and infrastructure projects Bosch started its Integrator Business in North America through the acquisition of Climatec in 2015. Climatec expanded Bosch’s role as a comprehensive supplier of energy, building automation and security solutions. Climatec is recognized in the building industry as an independent single-source integrator of critical building systems including energy services, building automation and security & life safety in the U.S. market. The company provides consulting, planning, implementation and 24/7 remote management. Climatec is active in several market segments and industries including data centers, commercial real estate buildings, and federal, state, and local government. Climatec has operated as an independent entity, maintaining its offices in Arizona, California, Nevada, Texas, New York, and New Jersey. Job Summary:


As a Technician - Security with Bosch Building Technologies North America, you will collaboratively review, understand, analyze, and implement installation blueprints and plans from Project Managers and Sales Teams to complete installations.   

This role requires the ability and knowhow to properly complete the installation, understand and follow the BOM, and be capable of making adjustments or finding alternative solutions as needed to complete installations to client satisfaction.   

RESPONSIBILITIES:   
  • Installing and servicing electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV and intrusion alarms  
  • Pre-wiring, installing, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance  
  • Prepares and executes Acceptance Testing Plans that meet contract, client and future service needs  
  • Assist in system design and layout  
  • Provide customer with training for proper system usage, and respond to technical inquiries  
  • Relationship building with clients and prospects for future opportunities   
  • Administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers, completing and filing all project documentation  
  • Support, lead, and mentor team members   
  • Design systems and layout 
  • Maintain a high level of safety and professionalism  
  • Lead projects at a site level, manage a team of junior technicians as necessary  
  • Work at required heights utilizing ladders, scaffolding, lifts, or other.
  • Work in confined spaces as necessary.
  • Perform other tasks as required  
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:   
  • PLT Certification required 
  • 1 + years prior experience in a technical role within the Security Systems Integration industry   
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean abstract  
  • Ability to use hand and specialty tools associated with the industry   
  • Ability to lift 50lbs consistently   
  • Able to work independently  
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent is considered an asset   
  • Vendor Certification in low voltage systems is preferred

The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 1.8m.  
WORKING CONDITIONS: In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, work on job sites, may be required to travel to and from job site locations, may work in a typical office environment, and is occasionally exposed to construction equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Confined space entry may be required. High work may be required.

· Compensation: $40.88 (Union Rate)

· Working Hours: This position generally works Monday- Friday, overtime and on call when necessary

· Travel Requirements: Possible travel required
