Our Audio-Visual team focuses on designing, installing, and maintaining high-tech, cutting edge AV solutions for our clients. This role will be client-facing and you will participate in the pre-sales process, client consultations, and design meetings. Working with multiple stakeholder groups will be required and excellent communication skills are essential to success in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Designing primarily Audio-Visual Systems, including but not limited to:
    • AV cabling systems
    • Commercial AV systems
    • Video conference systems
    • Media systems
    • Theaters/Screening Rooms
  • AutoCAD and Revit capabilities
  • Architectural coordination, MEP interaction
  • Participate in client and initial design meetings.
  • Preparing engineering analysis of projects, including CAD layouts, Btu calculations, and equipment selection.
  • Creating CAD blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts, and other visual aids to contribute to developing the design.
  • Developing technical construction specifications, floor plans, risers, and shop drawings as well as close-out manuals.
  • Working closely with other discipline engineers, designers, and project managers to coordinate multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Assisting the systems team with engineering deliverables, while complying with applicable standards, regulations, and sound engineering practices.
  • Providing technical support to the sales team & project managers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent grasp of the English language and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to technical and non-technical team members or client base.
  • Prior experience in low tension communications or Audio-Visual system design would be an asset.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in a role where keeping up to date with the latest Audio, Video, and Control technologies is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with AV systems, network equipment, and wireless deployment would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of the basics in structured cabling and infrastructure planning for sites & buildings.
  • Familiarity with AVIXA, EIA/TIA standards, BICSI standards, and relevant IEEE standards would be an asset.
  • Mandatory competency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio, with REVIT is required.
  • CTS, CTS-D certification is an asset.
  • Advanced PC experience including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations.

Work Location:

Compensation: $75,000 - $100,000 DOE
