Lead Technician Security
As a Lead Technician - Security with Paladin Technologies, you will collaboratively review, understand, analyze, and implement installation blueprints and plans from Project Managers and Sales Teams to complete installations.
This role requires the ability and know how to properly complete the installation, understand and follow the BOM, and be capable of making adjustments or finding alternative solutions as needed to complete installations to client satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, program, configure, and commission security systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, intrusion alarms, and fence detection systems, in accordance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Provide overall leadership and support for assigned projects, overseeing project personnel and site operations.
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure the continued functionality and reliability of security systems; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Coordinate and direct technicians, workers, and subcontractors.
- Organize and maintain efficiency across onsite activities and project goals while keeping project teams motivated.
- Collaborate with clients to understand security requirements, provide expert guidance, and deliver solutions tailored to their needs.
- Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through effective communication and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
- Prepare and execute detailed reports and acceptance test plans to meet SLAs, contractual requirements, and internal standards.
- Stay up to date with advancements in security technologies, regulations, and industry best practices; continuously improve technical skills through training and certifications.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and compliance standards related to security system installation and maintenance.
- Perform administrative duties, including providing project updates to Project Managers and completing required project documentation.
- Be available for on-call support before or after scheduled work hours and, when required, on non-scheduled workdays.
- Utilize technical expertise to mentor colleagues, providing guidance in testing, fine-tuning, and optimizing systems for peak performance.
- Design security systems and develop system layouts as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Progressive leadership experience within the integrated security or low-voltage industry(s) with experience in leading other technicians and projects.
- 8-10 years of experience managing integrated security or low-voltage industry(s) projects.
- 3 - 4 years experience in a leadership role
- Progressive experience in a technical role
- Programming experience is essential for this positions.
- Previous experience leading installations at the site level.
- Valid LEA certification.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in the use of relevant tools and equipment.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean abstract.
- Vendor Certification in low voltage systems (e.g., LENEL, GENETEC, MILESTONE, AVIGILON, AMAG, Keyscan, Kantech, SENSTAR, HANWHA, BOSCH, DSC, and others).
- Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent.
- Proper hand and power tool operations and safety.
- Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under minimal supervision
- Ability to organize workload for effective implementation.
- Ability to complete projects on time and on budget.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
- Ability to function as an effective team member.
- Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet).

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, work on job sites, may be required to travel to and from job site locations, may work in a typical office environment, and is occasionally exposed to construction equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Confined space entry may be required. High work may be required.
Pay : $48.00 ph - $58.00 ph DOE
