Technician I
If you are a hands-on technician with experience supporting low voltage installations, structured infrastructure, and site-based technical work, we want to hear from you. We are looking for several technicians to assist on large-scale installations.
As a Technician I with Bosch Building Technologies, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of low voltage systems and infrastructure while working closely with Technician II and Senior Technicians to complete project deliverables.
This role requires the ability to follow installation plans, understand scope of work, and support project execution through hands-on technical and manual work.

Though based in Vancouver, you may be required to travel to job sites throughout the region.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Assist Technician II and Senior Technicians in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of low voltage systems and infrastructure.
- Assist in pre-wiring, installation, setup, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities as directed.
- Assist in system layout and setup.
- Support senior technicians with tools, materials, equipment, and overall scope of work.
- Follow installation drawings, scope of work, and instructions provided by Project Managers and senior technicians.
- Perform general manual labor tasks including material handling, site preparation, and cleanup.
- Adhere to Bosch Building Technologies’s Quality and Safety programs.
- Complete detailed and accurate documentation including OHS checks, packing slips, checklists, as-builts, test results, and project updates.
- Provide customer support during service activities and respond to basic inquiries.
- Relationship building with clients and prospects for future opportunities.
- Perform tasks in confined spaces when necessary.
- Travel and overtime may be requested with this position on an ad hoc basis.
- You may be required to work “night shifts” when needed based on project/service requirements.
- Perform other tasks as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1–3 years of experience in a technical role.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Experience supporting installations and maintenance in low voltage inductry.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with customers and team members.
- Flexibility to work in a variety of environments, from construction sites to finished corporate offices.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean abstract.
- Able to work independently.
- Must be bondable and able to pass a background check.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience in a technical role within the low voltage.
- Post-secondary training in electronics or telecommunications.
- Basic knowledge of system installation, device setup, or infrastructure.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet).

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, work on job sites, may be required to travel to and from job site locations, may work in a typical office environment, and is occasionally exposed to construction equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Confined space entry may be required. High work may be required.
PAY RANGE: $20.50 ph - $29.69 ph D.O.E
