Job Summary:
As a Senior Technician - Security Systems with Bosch Building Technologies, you will collaboratively review, understand, analyze, and implement installation blueprints and plans from Project Managers and Sales Teams to complete installations.
This role requires the ability and know how to properly complete the installation, understand and follow the BOM, and be capable of making adjustments or finding alternative solutions as needed to complete installations to client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Install, program, configure security systems and commissioning, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, intrusion alarms, fence detection system, in accordance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure the continued functionality and reliability of security systems. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs, provide expert guidance, and offer solutions tailored to their requirements. Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through effective communication and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate records (documentation) of system installations, maintenance activities, and repairs. Prepares, create and executes detailed reports and acceptance test plans to meet SLA's, contract for clients and internal use.
- Train clients and end-users on the operation of security systems to maximize their effectiveness and ease of use.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in security technology, regulations, and industry best practices. Continuously improve your technical skills through training and certifications.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and compliance standards related to security systems installation and maintenance.
- Administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers, completing and filing all project documentation.
- You may be required to be “on-call” before or after your regularly scheduled hours, and/or on a day when you are not regularly scheduled to work.
- Utilizing expertise and experience to serve as a mentor to colleagues, offering guidance in testing, fine-tuning, and optimizing equipment for peak operational efficiency.
- Support, lead, and mentor team members.
- Design systems and layout .
- Maintain a high level of safety and professionalism.
- Lead projects at a site level, manage a team of junior technicians as necessary.
- Other duties as required.
- 5 plus years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry.
- Progressive experience in a technical role within the integrated security or low-voltage industry(s).
- Programming experience (essential for senior positions).
- Ability to work occasionally after hours
- Previous experience leading installations at the site level.
- Valid TQ certification.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in the use of relevant tools and equipment.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean abstract.
- Vendor Certification in low voltage systems (e.g., LENEL, GENETEC, MILESTONE, AVIGILON, AMAG, Keyscan, Kantech, SENSTAR, HANWHA, BOSCH, DSC, and others).
- Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent (considered an asset).

Résumé du poste : Technicien principal – Systèmes de sécurité
En tant que technicien principal en systèmes de sécurité chez Bosch Building Technologies, vous serez responsable de l’analyse, de la compréhension et de la mise en œuvre des plans d’installation fournis par les chefs de projet et les équipes commerciales afin de mener à bien les installations. Ce rôle requiert une maîtrise complète de l’installation, une compréhension des nomenclatures (BOM), ainsi que la capacité à ajuster ou proposer des solutions alternatives afin de garantir la satisfaction du client.
Responsabilités :
- Installer, programmer, configurer et mettre en service des systèmes de sécurité (caméras CCTV, contrôle d’accès, alarmes intrusion, détection périmétrique, etc.) conformément aux normes et spécifications clients.
- Effectuer la maintenance, les inspections et les réparations pour assurer la fiabilité des systèmes. Diagnostiquer et résoudre rapidement les problèmes techniques.
- Collaborer avec les clients pour comprendre leurs besoins et proposer des solutions adaptées. Assurer une excellente satisfaction client.
- Maintenir une documentation précise des installations, maintenances et réparations. Produire des rapports détaillés et plans de tests conformes aux SLA et aux exigences contractuelles.
- Former les clients et utilisateurs finaux à l’utilisation des systèmes.
- Se tenir à jour des évolutions technologiques et réglementaires du secteur.
- Respecter les normes de sécurité et de conformité.
- Effectuer les tâches administratives liées aux projets et communiquer les mises à jour aux chefs de projet.
- Assurer des astreintes si nécessaire.
- Agir comme mentor technique pour les collègues.
- Encadrer et soutenir les membres de l’équipe.
- Participer à la conception et au dimensionnement des systèmes.
- Maintenir un haut niveau de professionnalisme et de sécurité.
- Gérer des projets au niveau site et encadrer des techniciens juniors.
- Effectuer toute autre tâche requise.
Qualifications requises :
- 5+ ans d’expérience dans un rôle technique en sécurité intégrée
- Expérience progressive en basse tension / sécurité
- Expérience en programmation (obligatoire pour postes seniors)
- Capacité à travailler occasionnellement en dehors des heures normales de travail
- Expérience en gestion d’installations sur site
- Certification TQ valide
- Excellentes compétences en dépannage
- Maîtrise des outils techniques
- Permis de conduire valide
Qualifications souhaitées :
- Certifications fabricants (LENEL, GENETEC, AVIGILON, BOSCH, etc.)
- Formation postsecondaire en électronique (atout)
Exigences physiques :
Travail impliquant station debout, déplacement, manipulation d’outils, travail en hauteur, port de charges jusqu’à 50 lbs, utilisation d’outils électriques, et capacités visuelles adaptées.
