Technician II - Structured Cabling
We are currently looking for a Technician ll - Structured Cabling of varying experience to join our team in support of several major projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install and service cabling infrastructure and devices for Data and Audio Visual and CCTV; includes pre-wiring, installation, termination, labeling, testing and reporting per specifications and drawings
- Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms
- Interact with customers and prospects, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally
- Adhere to Paladin’s Quality and Safety programs
- Complete detailed and accurate documentation, including OHS checks, packing slips, checklists, as-builts, test results
- Consistently provide high levels of customer service
- Maintain a high level of professionalism
- Travel and overtime may be requested with this position on an ad hoc basis
- Perform additional duties as required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of experience pulling, terminating, and testing cat5/6 cables
- Flexibility to work in a variety of environments, from construction sites to finished corporate offices
- Comfortable working at heights
- Must be able to lift upwards of 50 pounds
- Valid Driver’s License with clean abstract and no restrictions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail
- Must be bondable and able to pass a background check
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Post-secondary education in electrical, telecommunications, electronics, or equivalent is considered an asset
- Experience using D365 ERP

WORKING CONDITIONS: In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Site work job conditions are similar to typical construction projects.
- Additional environments include office spaces, medical, industrial, warehouse, parking ramps, and other.
- Outdoor work including occasional adverse weather conditions or cold/heat temperatures.
- Travel required.
- Training as required.
