As a Program Manager here at Paladin Technologies, you will have the autonomy to build, mold, and innovate while leveraging best practices. By working with the leading, proven, and most reliable technologies partner on the market, you will be positioned for program management and developing a cross-regional team to provide project management and technical expertise that supports business development activities for our client across North America.

The Program Manager will support projects throughout multiple branches of the Paladin Organization. This position will require the Program Manager to support estimating, project management, field operations, and leadership for select Enterprise accounts. The Program Manager is expected to pursue education and training in both technical competencies (AV, Cabling, Security, Emerging Technologies, etc.) as well as leadership skills and personal development.

As our Program Manager, your top priority is to build strong and trusted relationships with our client and internal stakeholders, while driving and delivering a first-class project and service program. You will work closely with our client and internal teams to design, scope, and deliver highly complex integrated security systems and structured cabling infrastructure.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Act in a similar capacity to a Business Manager for the assigned portfolio of work
  • Oversee the program budget, project schedules, with understanding of the primary influences on the program, acting as the primary liaison between Paladin, Client stakeholders, and the project management teams
  • Oversee project management activities for projects within the assigned portfolio of clients.
  • Ensure that the Enterprise Project Management processes and standards of excellence are developed and followed
  • Provide direct project management support of select projects as directed by the Paladin leadership team.
  • Participate in bid reviews and revisions to ensure all estimates have team sponsorship
  • Provide direct and engaged supervision, management, and mentorship for all employees in the assigned client’s workflow.
  • Provide training and skill building opportunities for the project team
  • Provide advice, assistance and support to estimators, engineers, project managers and other Paladin employees when requested
  • Utilize their knowledge and experience to add to the collective knowledge and experience of other employees
  • Provide support for existing or potential customers with the utmost professionalism in all communications whether on the phone, in writing (email or text/direct message) or in person
  • As the program builds and Paladin expands, additional PM’s may be hired into the Program to be trained and supervised by the Program Manager
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Pursue training and continually increase competency with sub-disciplines needed to ensure the Program Manager is qualified to support sub-disciplines (Cabling, AV, Security, Networking, DAS, etc.)
  • Pursue and maintain industry recognized certifications like RCDD, CTS, CSPM, RTPM, PMP etc.
  • Continually improve competencies with all software’s and programs used including (but not limited to) Dynamics 365, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) MS Teams, MS Projects, etc.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous progressive experience as a Project or Program Manager in integrated security, low voltage, or a related industry
  • Experience delivering projects utilizing open-platform security solutions with integrated access control, intrusion and video management systems
  • Experience in project planning, risk management, cost management and schedule management, and methods of analyzing and reporting project performance on financial and other KPI’s
  • Adaptability and flexibility including the ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change
  • Negotiating skills within a context of political sensitivity and conflicting interests
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize and display a high level of adaptability/flexibility
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Post-secondary education from an engineering technology program (controls and instrumentation, electronics, electrical, etc.)
  • Previous experience managing multiple large projects
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Previous sales, estimating, or design experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.  
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, (ie see, hear, speak and write clearly) in order to communicate with colleagues and/or customers; manual dexterity required for occasional reaching, lifting of light office objects, and operating office equipment 
WORK ENVIRONMENT: 
In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  
  • The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted and ventilated.  Noise levels are considered low to moderate 
  • Customer site visits may be required to manage expectations and deliverables. These sites will range from active construction sites with uneven terrain to office locations. Both outdoor and indoor working conditions are to be expected. 
  • Travel for this position is estimated at up-to approximately 10-20%.
Pay: $100,000 - $140,000 (DOE)
