The Sales Tax Analyst will be part of a team that is responsible for all the sales/use tax and property tax reporting for Paladin Technologies. This dynamic role reports to the Sales Tax Manager.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Accurate record keeping in all areas of responsibility
  • Provide reports as requested by management in a timely and acceptable format.
  • Represent Company in a business-like professional manner in both conduct and appearance, to maximize client satisfaction.
  • Effectively communicate and respond in a timely manner to all Client and Company needs or inquiries.
  • Interface proactively and in a positive manner with co-workers in all departments to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Work in compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures including safety manual, with safety of self and others in mind at all times.
  • Maintain and protect assigned company assets.
  • Available to work outside of, or in addition to, normal business hours to support other branches in other time zones
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Include but are not limited to:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual tax filings
  • Complete monthly sales tax compliance as assigned
  • Reconcile accounts, ledgers, reports, etc. as directed
  • Acts as a point of contact for W-9 and tax exemption certificate requests.
  • Review and analyze reports and data and monitor for accuracy and completeness
  • Responds to internal and external customer inquiries on sales tax
  • Assist in researching and analyzing relevant sales/use tax laws by state and regulations to ensure all customers and all locations are properly charged for sales/use taxes, including correct classification as taxable or exempt
  • Load new tax exemptions into dual systems and maintain exemption files for audit.
  • Assist with sales & use tax audits
  • Assist other areas in accounting, including accounts receivable and invoicing support
  • Document workflow and work procedures
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2-year degree (or 5+ years of related experience)
  • Minimum 2 years sales tax experience
  • Intermediate excel spreadsheet skills required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior general accounting experience
  • Prior experience in the construction industry and personal property tax compliance
  • 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • Proficiency with Dynamics 365 and Vertex

Pay: $32ph - $45ph (DOE)
