The Project Coordinator - I will manage, coordinate, and execute the project plan. Participate in the delivery of all activities and manage resources for efficiency and project profitability. The primary objective of this role is to support the Project Manager in delivering high-quality project results as efficiently as possible. May be requested to lead and manage smaller projects at the discretion of the Manager.

Ideal candidates bring prior experience as a Project Coordinator and will represent Paladin in a professional manner in line with our company values. Though based in Vancouver, some travel throughout the Lower Mainland may be required for this role.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Visit client sites to determine conditions and requirements for system design and installation.
  • Work closely with the Project Management team to develop and manage schedules, resource plans, procurement, project commissioning, and risk mitigation strategies, while controlling costs and maximizing productivity.
  • Assist with and manage the collection of technical documentation (e.g., shop drawings, as-builts) and prepare closeout packages.
  • Maintain all written and verbal project communications effectively and consistently.
  • Support project financial documentation when required.
  • Attend site visits and client walk-throughs, ensuring that client expectations are met.
  • Ensure the highest level of project delivery quality for our clients.
  • Perform other tasks as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous project coordination or project management experience is required.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience collecting, managing, and organizing technical documentation.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and project software/tools.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and have access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to work both from the office and on project sites as required.
  • Post-secondary education in an engineering technology program (e.g., instrumentation, electronics, electrical) is considered an asset.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in the construction, security, or oil and gas industry is an asset.
  • Project coordination experience is a plus but not mandatory – we're open to candidates with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Experience working with financial documentation or reporting is highly valued.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.  

Must be able to effectively communicate, (i.e. see, hear, speak and write clearly) in order to communicate with colleagues and/or customers; manual dexterity required for occasional reaching, lifting of light office objects, and operating office equipment 

WORKING CONDITIONS: 
In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  

The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted and ventilated.  Noise levels are considered low to moderate. 

Pay: $53000 - $80000 DOE
