A Manager - Engineering plans, organizes, directs, and controls the activities required for effective management of the Engineering Department. Ensure quality and Client satisfaction. Assist the Director, Engineering Services in developing and maintaining fiscal responsibility for the department.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:- Responsible for supervising engineering and design including distribution of engineering workload and set timeline goals for project engineering delivery
- Provide system engineering to support workloads
- Provide estimating support as needed to support workloads
- Provide Presales Engineering for Account Executives and Estimating team members
- Develop Engineering Department short- and long-range goals to coincide with Company objectives.
- Provide reports to Director, Engineering and other senior management to include but not limited to staff performance, product performance, project design trends.
- Assist in determining appropriate staffing levels for the Engineering Department.
- Establish and implement productivity standards and communicate job expectations to staff.
- Establish and maintain procedures and standards for quality engineering and design working with the Director, Engineering
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:- Represent Company in a business-like professional manner in both conduct and appearance, to maximize client satisfaction.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES: In accordance with applicable Company policies/procedures and Federal/State laws, will perform the following supervisory responsibilities: Interviewing, hiring orienting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supervise, develop, evaluate, and discipline Engineering Department personnel in accordance with PTI policies and procedures.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - 6+ years working in the technical field where electronics or networking theory is used on a daily basis
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized business systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Technical, Electronic, or IT Associates Degree
- 1 year of supervisory experience
- 1 year of Security industry experience
- Knowledge of NEC Code and low voltage systems

Pay Rate: $105,000 - $125,000 DOE
