Our Integrated Security team focuses on designing, installing and maintaining complex security solutions for our clients. As a Junior Security Systems Technician, you will be responsible for reviewing, understanding, and implementing installations according to plans provided by our Project Managers and Sales Teams.

A typical day could see you working on a variety of commercial installations including, hospitals, airports, corporate offices, and casinos to name just a few.
NOTE: This position may require weekend/night shifts and occasional out-of-town travel.
Shift work 5pm - 12am maybe required.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Installs, terminates and tests equipment as per specifications and in conjunction with any pertaining building and or electrical codes.
- Responsible for training apprentices on Company procedures, systems, and installation techniques.
- Work with Field Engineers on startup to ensure complete system compliance.
- Daily communications with Installation Supervisor on delays, requirements, and general status of jobs to ensure delivery of the project
- Work with Installation Supervisor to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client and service department
- Repair, restore and test all systems per specifications and in conjunction with any pertaining building and or electrical codes.
- Accurate written record keeping, submitted on time and complete,
- Maintain professional licensing as required by State and Local jurisdictions
- Work at required heights utilizing ladders, scaffolding, lifts, or other.
- Work in confined spaces as necessary.
- Shift work 5pm - 12am maybe required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Must be bondable and able to pass a background check.
- Valid Driver’s License with clean abstract and no restrictions is preferred.
- High School Diploma is required or an Associate Degree/Certificate in a related field is preferred.
- Power/Hand tool experience is preferred.
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:- Prior experience in a technical role within the integrated security or low voltage industry(s)
- Experience and/or vendor certification in low voltage systems is preferred
- Ideally: Genetec, Bosch intrusion, Lenel, Kantech, DSC, Avigilon
- Programming experience required for senior positions
- Previous experience creating estimates and interacting with clients is considered an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License and clean abstract
- Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent is considered an asset
- Genetec Certification is considered an asset
