Senior Executive
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer at Paladin Technologies, you will provide leadership for East Coast Operations in support of company goals, growing our market share and maintaining the existing business and customer base. You will work strategically and collaboratively with the Paladin Technologies leadership group to support overall business development, account management, execution of complex technology projects, ensure we are delivering the highest level of service for our ever-growing client base while supporting & developing our highly skilled workforce. You will have full financial accountability and responsibility for the business results of the New York footprint.

As our General Manager, your top priority is to build strong and trusted relationships with our clients and internal stakeholders, while driving and delivering first-class multi-scope projects and services. Position Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for delivery of scope of services for our clients
  • Manage P&L of the operations & service departments to maximize efficiency and profitability
  • Build and maintain relationships with external clients and internal partners, ensuring effective communications with all stakeholders
  • Work with sales team to establish service and maintenance agreements for our key clients
  • Control costs and maximize productivity through the implementation of best practices and standard processes
  • In cooperation with the leadership team, develop reporting metrics from our service ticketing and financial accounting systems
  • Deliver on all aspects of our service level agreements including field service technical support, preventative maintenance, emergency response and reporting functions
  • Plan, organize, direct, and control staffing levels and utilization rates to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, on budget and to a high-quality standard.
  • Accountable for maintaining technical labour schedule to ensure optimal utilization of resources, and re-allocate resources as required to accommodate business & project priorities.
  • Communicate with Project Management Group to evaluate all current and upcoming project work for required quantity and skillset of technical labour and office support.
  • Foster a corporate culture that promotes safe practices and encourages individual integrity and accountability.
  • Ensure all Health, Safety and Environmental policies and practices are followed and meet client requirements
  • Conduct performance management throughout the year including annual performance evaluations and compensation planning for department
  • Partner with HR to ensure the right people are hired, trained, and supported throughout their career with Paladin Technologies
  • Communicate the Paladin Technologies brand identity, values, and positioning in our USA Group that supports company alignment
  • Leverage experience leading large transformations and change efforts to drive initiatives that result in organic growth, elevated customer service and satisfaction, and profitable growth.
  • Provide strategic and executional support and guidance to the Executive Leadership Team including recommendations for Client Management, Corporate Strategies, Delivery of Integrated Security Projects, Internal Change Management, and Service Agreements 
Required Qualifications:
  • 15 or more years’ experience as an Executive / Operations Leader overseeing complex security technology projects
  • Progressive leadership experience in program management and/or operational excellence
  • Experience in cross-functional P&L ownership ($30M +)
  • Post-secondary education (Diploma or bachelor’s degree in management desirable)
  • Experience in project planning, risk management, cost / schedule management, and methods of analyzing and reporting project performance on financial and other KPI’s as demonstrated
  • A valid US Driver’s License and ability to pass pre-employment screens.
  • Availability for travel, approximately 10-20%
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in directly managing or overseeing the management and delivery of multi-million-dollar projects in one or several low voltage business segments with preference to multi-scope in integrated security systems, structured cabling, and audio-visual projects.
  • Previous experience in Business Development or General Management
  • Experience within security solutions or services business
  • Previous direct commercial sales, estimating, or design experience 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English, (ie see, hear, speak and write clearly) in order to communicate with colleagues and/or customers
  • Manual dexterity required for occasional reaching, lifting of light office objects, and operating office equipment
  • Sitting, standing, walking in office environments and construction sites
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet)
WORKING CONDITIONS:  In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted and ventilated.  Noise levels are considered low to moderate
  • Will be required to be on site with customers or contractors, with or without Paladin colleagues to manage the expectations and deliverables. Sites range from general office environments to new construction.
  • Driving to customer sites is required
  • Limited overnight travel may be required
Compensation: $225,000 - $250,000 (DOE)
