We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our team in Amarillo TX to manage a high-end project which includes structured cabling, low voltage intrusion and access control as well as Surveillance systems in a State of the Art Data Center Environment!!

We are seeking an expert to install, integrate, and maintain advanced Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) and high-resolution VMS (Video Management Systems) across our mission-critical data center environments. Success in this role demands strict adherence to Method of Procedure (MOP) and zero downtime protocols, exceptional cable management discipline (in line with BICSI standards), and proficiency with specialized security hardware like mantraps and biometric authentication systems. The Superintendent will provide daily scheduling of technician resources, including subcontractors, site supervision, monitor the performance of several staff members, and be very involved with each of the projects assigned.  This role will engage with customer communications, project scheduling, materials tracking, quality control, managing labor hours, materials budgets, and supporting project related documentation/submittals. You will be the single-point-of-contact for our projects, and responsible for coordinating various trades throughout the project life cycle. The ideal candidate would have the ability to teach apprentice level technicians a variety of skills within the Low Voltage industry and assist senior level technicians with troubleshooting/problem solving more complex installations.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review project requirements and installation plan with the project team
  • Schedule projects with customers and assign technical and asset resources
  • Communicate with all internal & external project team members
  • Review job packages upon receipt for job cost accuracy
  • Review, modify and red line all job documentation for assigned projects
  • Facilitate the completion of Change orders both external and internal
  • Work with Project Accountants to ensure proper billing requirements are met, and costs are being monitored
  • Review and keep current job costing reports for all open projects – ensure hours spent on projects are within budget
  • Administer a corrective action plan when hours being used are in excess of the budgeted hours.
  • Monitor and track material delivery for all assigned projects
  • Schedule and conduct internal and external job kick-off meetings for single scope projects
  • Review system installations to ensure best practices are used
  • Supervise and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance and support to optimize their performance
  • Ensure technicians maintain appropriate appearance and conduct on all assigned projects
  • Facilitate the staging of materials for projects
  • Ensure project team has the proper tools for the job
  • Close out projects in a timely manner and obtain customer sign-off
  • Compile and deliver all project final deliverables
  • Facilitate and assist in client trainings
  • Travel to sites required throughout employment
  • Collaborate with sales and business development teams to identify opportunities for upselling or expanding services

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in low voltage access control, intrusion, locking mechanisms and surveillance cameras
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and completing projects within budget and schedule
  • In-depth knowledge of low voltage systems, industry standards, and regulations
  • Valid driver license and clean driving record
  • Industry education and experience required
  • Experience in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Proficient with Computers and Troubleshooting

    Example: Audio Visual (AVIXA) or Structured Cabling/OSP (BICSI)
  • Ability to obtain Hilti, Fall Protection, Scissor/Boom Lift, Confined Space Certifications
  • Ability to obtain OSHA30

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  Confined space entry may be required. High work may be required.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is mandatory in order to become approved to operate a company vehicle.
