As a Project Manager, you will work closely with clients to design, scope, and build highly complex integrated security projects. We will lean on you for operational leadership support so your ability to guide field staff through the project lifecycle will be important in achieving success in this role. Though based in Vancouver, you may have to travel throughout the surrounding area depending on operational needs.

You will work on a variety of projects in different industries. This position will challenge your abilities as a project management professional and help drive your career growth. Your ability to be creative in addressing complex issues and delivering solutions will serve you well in determining success in this role.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Deliver projects on time, within scope and budget while maintaining the highest quality delivery for our clients.
  • Lead, guide, train, and mentor field and coordination staff.
  • Provide accurate financial reports for project performance and targets, including cost and revenue forecasting, accruals, billing, receivables and payables management, and working capital management.
  • Develop and manage schedules, resource plans, procurement, project commissioning, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Control costs and maximize productivity through the implementation of best practices and standard processes.
  • Effectively manage and maintain all written and verbal project communications, both formal and informal.
  • Maintain client satisfaction and promptly resolve any concerns.
  • Develop relationships with subcontractors to build a pool of resources; manage a selection of subcontracts for projects, where required.
  • Proactively assess risks; ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Develop customer relationships supporting further business development .

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous and progressive experience as a Project Manager in the integrated security and/or low voltage industry. We will consider applicants from other related industries (ie. Telecommunications, IT)
  • Previous experience managing large, construction projects preferred
  • Previous sales, estimating, or design experience is a bonus
  • Post-secondary education from an engineering technology program (controls and instrumentation, electronics, electrical, etc.) is considered an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and project software
  • Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and work with multiple deadlines
  • Valid drivers license with acceptable record. Minimum 5 years driving experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an asset

  • Must be able to effectively communicate, (ie see, hear, speak and write clearly) in order to communicate with colleagues and/or customers; manual dexterity required for occasional reaching, lifting of light office objects, and operating office equipment.

Pay: $70,356.00 - $108,658.00 DOE
