About the Role

The Corporate Controller of US and Canada will oversee all aspects of Bosch Building Technologies’ financial operations, including technical accounting, financial reporting, treasury, payroll, corporate accounting, tax, and compliance. This role partners directly with executive leadership to drive financial strategy, support mergers and acquisitions, strengthen internal controls, and ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and Bosch corporate governance standards.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
  • Financial Leadership & Reporting
  • Lead corporate financial operations, including month-end and year-end close, consolidated financial statement preparation, corporate reporting, treasury, budgeting, and annual audit.
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial data and reporting in alignment with GAAP, IFRS, and Bosch requirements.
  • Optimize cash flow and working capital, manage banking /treasury relationships, and secure financing for strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules, journal entries, lease accounting schedules, and corporate tax schedules.
  • Identify, design, and implement process improvements to enhance financial systems, reporting, and operational efficiency.

Stategic & Executive Partnership
  • Partner with Finance leadership on strategic planning, M&A, internal controls, and staffing decisions.
  • Support M&A activities, including acquisition transitions of accounting functions.
Team Leadership & Oversight
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the Payroll, Commissions, and Project Labor Compliance teams responsible for accurate and timely payment, including Davis-Bacon, certified payroll, and subcontractor compliance.
  • Maintain cross-functional partnerships
  • Lead A/P Manager in managing daily accounts payable operations and ensuring compliance with Bosch policies. Review and approval of cash disbursements, including corporate and travel/expense credit card administration.
  • Guide the Business License Manager with regard to licenses, permits, certifications management
  • Direct the Tax team on multi-state sales tax reporting, audits, and compliance
     
Compliance & Governance
  • Risk & Compliance: Manage financial risk, implement/maintain robust risk management-oriented process landscape in conjunction with ICS, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and tax requirements, state/local business licensing, contractor licensing, and professional registrations for multi-state operations.
  • Process & System Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance financial processes, controls, and systems. Implement best practices to improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
What You'll Bring (Qualifications)
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in full cycle finance and accounting of which +5 years in the construction industry preferably at a systems integration, construction, or technology company with responsibility for corporate accounting.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Certifications: CPA certification or MBA degree
  • Strategic Acumen: Proven experience as a strategic business partner, with a track record of driving financial performance and growth.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP and corporate finance principles.
  • Systems Integration Knowledge: Deep understanding of project-based accounting, job costing, and the financial life cycle of complex systems integration projects.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with a history of building and managing high-performing finance teams and able to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in financial planning software, ERP systems (e.g., D365, COINS, SAP, Oracle), and advanced Excel modeling and other business intelligence tools ( e.g. Floqast)
  • In-depth knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation processes.
  • Experience: Experience with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and post-merger integration in a Systems Integration Company
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in security systems integration space, construction, or a related project-based industry is a strong advantage.
Compensation : $124,000 to $186,000 DOE
