Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
- Project Oversight: Plan, organize, direct, and control staffing levels to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Resource Utilization: Communicate with the Project Management team to evaluate project needs and maintain a technical labor schedule for optimal resource allocation.
- Cost Control: Implement best practices to maximize productivity and control costs across all operational processes.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop and monitor annual and medium-term operational plans to achieve overall objectives; review project deliverables to ensure timelines are met.
- Team Leadership: Interview, hire, and oversee training for staff; conduct regular performance reviews to align team goals with company objectives.
- Safety and Compliance: Foster a corporate culture that promotes safety and integrity, ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
- Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement an annual sales plan to drive revenue growth across all service offerings, targeting both existing and new clients.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients while actively pursuing new business opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Operations, IT, Engineering, and other departments to enhance client engagement and drive integrated security systems penetration.
- Market Analysis: Monitor the competitive landscape for changing technologies and trends to ensure the company’s offerings remain cutting-edge.
- Sales Tracking: Maintain CRM activities, track sales leads, and provide accurate forecasting to inform strategic decisions.
- 5-8 years in operations management overseeing complex technology projects
- Progressive outside sales experience in a technical sales environment (integrated security, networking/data cabling, commercial audio-visual preferred)
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with IP networks, low voltage electronics, and security technologies such as access control and CCTV systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently and effectively.
- Success Factors: Results-driven mindset, accountability, and the ability to leverage collaborative relationships for business development.
- Post-secondary education; a university degree in Business is preferred.
- Experience with Dynamics 365 ERP
